On February 13, 2022, Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions (VETS) co-founder and 13-year Navy SEAL veteran Marcus Capone huddled at Super Bowl 56’s Radio Row in Inglewood, Calif., to proactively raise awareness for VETS’ work at the country’s biggest sporting event. Marcus was joined by his friends and former NFL players Robert Gallery and Jake Plummer, who share his support for psychedelic therapies for veterans and professional athletes suffering from traumatic head injuries and mental health conditions.
Together, Marcus, Robert, and Jake gave nearly 100 interviews. They shared why NFL players and veterans often experience similar challenges after their “big game,” and how we can work together to break the stigma on mental health. VETS especially thanks Chris Visser of Antero Sports for creating this opportunity.
